About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, hours between 6:30 am and 8:30 pm.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our team on a key contract in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, inspect, and perform repairs or preventative maintenance, responding promptly to breakdowns.
• Execute reactive and planned services in a retail environment.
• Possess trade skills or previous experience in a similar role.
• Conduct statutory inspections of assets, including emergency lighting, water temperature checks, fire door inspections and repairs, plumbing repairs, lighting checks, and minor reactive works.
• Represent the company professionally, handling customer complaints and queries.
• Support engineer subcontractors during site visits.
• Provide technical guidance to clients and support the contract team.
• Perform minor building fabric repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with specifications and health & safety legislation.
• Maintain accurate site documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Legal right to work in the UK.
• City & Guilds qualification in electrical discipline (18th Edition) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other IT tools.
• NVQ Level 2 or higher in a building discipline.
• Experience in a similar role, including basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration, and statutory ppm inspections, with good health & safety awareness.
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes.
• Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work procedures.
• Experience using BMS systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 is desirable.
• Accurate record-keeping skills, both on worksheets and digital systems.
• Full UK driving license, as a company vehicle may be used.
