Job description

My client situated in Appley Bridge is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their growing Engineering Team.

Salary: £45.5k-£47.5k DOE

Hours: Mon-Thur 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am; Fri 6am-12noon, 12noon-6pm, 6pm-midnight

Duties:

• Responding to equipment breakdowns and concerns
• Completing reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
• Conducting planned maintenance (PM) in line with schedules, including recording reactive actions
• Performing condition-based monitoring (CBM) of equipment
• Ensuring availability of spare parts and managing their selection and ordering
• Analyzing plant and equipment data to identify performance improvements
• Assisting with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
• Updating Maintenance Systems (CMMS, MAXIMO) for traceability
• Maintaining safety, health, and environmental policies, serving as a safety role model
• Coordinating maintenance and repairs with the operations department

Skills:

• At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance department
• Good communication skills
• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent; HNC preferred
• Experience with DC & AC equipment, inverters (drives)
• 18th Edition (desirable)
• PLC experience (Allen Bradley preferred)
• Logical problem-solving skills with a good understanding of Root Cause Analysis
