Job summary

Jonta M&E in London is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support delivery of electrical works from design through to completion on a major project. You will work closely with the Project Manager on site.

You will review electrical drawings, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure safety and programme alignment. The role is site-based across Westminster/Canary Wharf areas and surrounding locations.

Electrical Project Engineer

An experienced Electrical Project Engineer is required for a major project in London, working closely with the Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the electrical works from design through to completion. This role would be suited to an Electrical Project Engineer based in, Westminster, Camden, Canary Wharf, Essex, Watford, City of London and surrounding areas.

This is a site-based role for someone with strong electrical building services experience who is confident reviewing technical drawings, identifying discrepancies, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme.

Duties

• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth running and successful delivery of the project.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or design issues.
• Coordinate and manage electrical subcontractors on site, ensuring works are completed to the required standard and programme.
• Monitor progress of electrical works and assist with planning and coordinating upcoming activities.
• Liaise with the project team, subcontractors and other trades to ensure the project remains on programme and any issues are dealt with promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar within the building services/construction sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and the ability to confidently read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience identifying design discrepancies and coordinating technical queries through to resolution.
• Previous experience managing or coordinating electrical subcontractors on large commercial projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team.
