Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking an Electrician to support our client across multiple sites in the UK. The role covers installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical and telecoms infrastructure, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Ex-military applicants with relevant electrical qualifications or transferable engineering skills are encouraged. Applicants must meet essential technical requirements and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3+ in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance or fault-finding.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work outdoors and at height.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain and repair HV/LV electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Inspect overhead lines, pylons, telecommunications masts and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
• Install and commission telecommunications equipment, cabling and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete maintenance records, testing certificates and reports.
• Support infrastructure upgrade projects and liaise with engineers, contractors and clients.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, PPE and climbing equipment.
• Participate in standby and call-out duties as required.
• Work effectively within a field engineering team.

The successful candidate will carry out the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical and telecommunications infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring all work meets the required safety and compliance standards.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel with relevant electrical engineering or technical experience. All suitably qualified candidates will be considered.
