We are currently looking for an Electrical Field Service Engineer. This position is based in Fareham.

What will you be doing
  1. Independently execute Electrical Field Service activities during overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting.
  2. Prepare a list of tools and materials needed for workload.
  3. Carry out site surveys and detail work specifications.
  4. Liaise closely with the Service Superintendent and the Service Manager to ensure service deadlines are met.
  5. Ensure that all timesheets (signed by customer) and expense sheets are submitted to the Service Administrator weekly.
  6. On completion of jobs, ensure that all service reports are of a high standard and submitted within 48 hours of completing the job.
  7. Work with generator controls and power management systems.
  8. Liaise with customers on site handling enquiries and technical queries.
  9. Liaise closely with the General Manager and customer to ensure service deadlines are met.
  10. Act as mentor/trainer to develop mechanical employees in basic electrical skills.
  11. Play a leading role in ensuring that all work carried out is to ISO 9001/2000 standard.
  12. Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations.
  13. Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any "ad-hoc" duties that may be required.
  14. Carry out all tasks in such a way as to always ensure maximum (internal and external) satisfaction to the extent that this is within the employee's control.
  15. Be prepared to undertake additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances.
To be successful, you will need the following:
  1. Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Power/Mechanical/Marine Engineering with good academic record.
  2. Be proficient with engine controls and develop gas tuning capabilities.
  3. This role requires frequent travel; therefore, the ideal applicant will hold a valid driving license and must be flexible with regards to work locations.
  4. A good team player.
  5. Workplace ICT equipment & applications.
  6. Fluency in written and spoken English.
