Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert for all things electrical on site — but your mechanical know-how will also come into play. With a strong electrical bias, you'll support production lines, minimise downtime, and work closely with both the engineering and operations teams to deliver efficient, reliable, and compliant performance across the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics across production equipment.
  • Carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance to minimise production downtime.
  • Support electrical repairs and work collaboratively with multi-skilled engineers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects around equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Ensure all electrical systems and installations comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Work closely with production teams to support fast turnaround on line changeovers and setups.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs, assist with spare parts inventory, and support audit readiness.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
About You
  • Time-served or formally qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • Strong hands-on experience with production machinery – electrical bias, but mechanically capable.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills on PLCs, drives, motors, panels, and industrial control systems.
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and calm under pressure – a true team player.
  • FMCG or food industry experience is a strong advantage, but not essential.
  • Be part of a growing, global company with a proud heritage and exciting future.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a daily impact.
  • Join a business that values its people, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and long-term career development opportunities.
