Leading company in the energy sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer who specializes in Motors and Generators to join the company's Consulting Services Department (CSD), Electrical Engineering Division (EED).

EED is responsible for providing technical support in developing new processes, equipment, or techniques, as well as facility designs and solutions to unusual operating and maintenance problems.

As an Electrical Engineer, your primary role is to initiate or conduct special studies to improve facilities or operations, provide specialized technical services in recognized engineering fields, and act as a consultant on complex engineering issues related to rotating electrical machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general engineering consultations in the area of Motors & Generators to field operations such as refineries, gas plants, terminals, as needed.
• Write company procedures and best practices in your area of expertise.
• Review engineering design packages for capital projects, attend project review meetings as needed.
• Introduce new technology to boost company profitability and productivity.
• Represent the company in dealings with vendors, manufacturers, and design firms requiring expert engineering advice.
• Conduct peer reviews of technical reports and review work of third parties, project designs, and engineering standards.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers within the company.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; MS or other advanced degrees are highly desirable. Professional Engineer (PE) license or registration is also highly desirable.
• Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, including responsibilities for sizing, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting high voltage electrical machines, and factory acceptance testing.
