Electrical Engineer - Research and Development

Salary: cGBP35-45k neg dep exp + benefits

Location: Leicester

Our Leicester-based client, established for nearly 30 years, specializes in the manufacture, installation, and service of thermal management solutions for a diverse range of customers across the UK and Europe, serving various industry sectors.

Due to ongoing success and strategic growth plans for 2024 and beyond, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Research and Development to join their professional team. The role involves designing and developing solutions such as air blast coolers, water heat exchangers, and recirculation chillers.

The ideal candidate will have at least an HND or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, instrumentation & controls, mechatronics) and a minimum of 3 years experience in electrical design and development within an engineering manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include creating electrical schematics (preferably using AutoCAD Electrical), wiring and developing machines, working with controllers and PLCs, and capturing and analyzing test data.

The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, often under pressure.
