Job summary

First Achieve Engineering is partnering with a leading engineering business to recruit an Electrical Service Engineer for its expanding Service & Repair team. This field-based role covers the Central Belt of Scotland, working on HVAC, commercial and industrial equipment, performing reactive breakdowns, servicing and commissioning.

You will split time between site and workshop, diagnose faults on motors, control panels and drives, carry out electrical fault finding on pumps, and produce detailed

• Electrical qualifications or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Service/ Maintenance/ Field Service engineer.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and commissioning of booster sets, pump stations, motors and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on motor circuits, control panels and inverter drives.
• Fault finding on pumps and associated equipment.
• Strip, inspect and assess motors, pumps and fans with the mechanical team.
• Commission new equipment and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Complete risk assessments and work safely in line with Health & Safety legislation.
• Produce detailed service reports and maintain strong customer relationships.

Location: Central Belt of Scotland

Salary: Up to £45,000 basic + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Pension

The Opportunity

First Achieve Engineering is partnering with a leading engineering business to recruit an Electrical Service Engineer for its expanding Service & Repair team.

This role combines field-based and workshop work, supporting customers across the Central Belt of Scotland. You'll be working on a broad range of HVAC, commercial and industrial equipment, carrying out reactive breakdowns, servicing, repairs and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair and commission:
• Booster sets
• Pump stations
• Electric motors and associated control systems
• Diagnose and repair faults on motor circuits, control panels and inverter drives.
• Carry out electrical fault finding on pumps and associated equipment.
• Strip, inspect and assess motors, pumps and fans alongside the mechanical team when required.
• Commission new equipment and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Complete risk assessments and work safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
• Produce detailed service reports and maintain excellent customer relationships.

What We're Looking For

• Electrical qualification (NVQ/SVQ, HNC/HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Field Service role.
• Strong experience fault finding on:
• Electric motors
• Experience within industrial, manufacturing, wastewater, HVAC or building services environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent fault-finding and communication skills.
