  • Project coordination and technical documentation experience needed.

A leading local engineering firm, operating globally in the design and manufacture of complex mobile equipment, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its growing product development team in Dungannon.


This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in new product development, technical innovation, and continuous improvement across a diverse range of advanced machinery. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on the full product lifecycle - from design and testing through to deployment and support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical control systems and support the development of new mobile equipment.
  • Deliver project objectives on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Develop PLC and HMI software (ideally using CoDeSys 3.5) and prepare functional specifications.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant safety, compliance, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams.
  • Lead the integration of new technologies and support commissioning both in-house and on customer sites.
  • Contribute to cost-reduction, reliability improvement, and product optimisation initiatives.
  • Provide documentation, risk assessments, and technical files in line with project and regulatory requirements.


What You'll Need:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience in the design of 24V DC control systems (experience with 3-phase is a plus).
  • PLC programming skills - ideally with experience in CoDeSys or similar platforms.
  • Experience in automation and control of hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and support field installations.
  • Familiarity with electrical control panel design tools (e.g. Zuken E3 Series) is advantageous.
  • Project coordination and technical documentation experience.
  • A self-motivated, collaborative mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for testing and commissioning.
