Job summary

HDR Building Engineering Services Group is seeking a personable, self-starting electrical design professional to assist Senior Engineers on data centre and related projects. You will work across disciplines to integrate electrical designs into overall projects, coordinate meetings, and participate in reviews for code compliance.

Responsibilities include conducting site sessions with the Project Manager, reviewing documents for conflicts, and drafting electrical specifications.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience in data centre projects is ESSENTIAL.
• Minimum 3 years industry experience in Electrical Design.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.

• Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
• Write/edit electrical specifications and select electrical systems and devices.

Qualifications

• BEng, MSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or relevant subject.
• Minimum 3yrs industry experience in Electrical Design.
• Electrical design experience working on Data Center/Data Centre/Mission Critical projects is ESSENTIAL.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and Revit.
