Job summary

GM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer Electrical Maintenance to cover sites across London. The role involves planned, reactive and minor electrical works with strong emphasis on safety, quality and customer service.

Essential NICEIC qualifications and building maintenance experience are required. The engineer will deliver PPM/Reactive works, complete SVRs and report feedback, liaise with clients, and support scheduling.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection or equivalent.
• NICEIC Test & Inspection qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Complete accurate Site Visit Reports (SVRs) and daily job feedback.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and ensure excellent customer service.
• Work closely with scheduling teams to deliver PPM and reactive works within KPIs and SLAs.
• Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety, company policies and Safe Systems of Work, including PTW and RAMS.
• Identify and manage minor works and additional work opportunities.
• Liaise with subcontractors and specialist contractors when required.
• Assist with overseeing visiting specialist teams.
• Monitor costs and ensure works are delivered efficiently.
• Provide cover for the Supervisor when required.
• Participate in a 24-hour call-out rota.

The Opportunity

Essential Requirements

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification - City & Guilds or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection or equivalent.
• NICEIC Test & Inspection qualification - essential.
• Experience of general and minor building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance legislation.
• Experience working with RAMS, PTW and Safe Systems of Work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage costs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• L8 / Legionella training.
• Plumbing and hot water systems experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience within a commercial or facilities maintenance environment.
