Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: W1 (Oxford Circus area) Salary: £51,000 per annum Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00

About the Role

H&K Workforce Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a long-established facilities services company for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in W1. This role involves delivering high-quality electrical maintenance across prestigious office and commercial sites in central London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple commercial buildings.
  • Perform lighting checks, emergency lighting testing, and lamp replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across distribution boards, circuits, and wiring systems.
  • Conduct compliance checks including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, and electrical inspections.
  • Support with minor installation projects where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and safety checks.
  • Work alongside other engineers and contractors to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Adhere to all statutory regulations and Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2365/2330, or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • Experience in commercial building maintenance (offices, retail, or similar).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Understanding of emergency lighting, fire alarms, and compliance testing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • ECS/JIB card (preferred).
  • Full right to work in the UK.
