Job description

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to work in the Chertsey, Surrey area working in ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company. The role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with lots of overtime available. Must work weekends on a shift rota (roughly 1 in 4 but will vary).

This role requires flexibility during their busy season (May to October) with regards to hours and days worked.

Salary: £52,000 (Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half)

As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will deliver maintenance across all aspects of building services, bringing strong knowledge of building disciplines with a key competency in electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide maintenance support (Including Installation, planned, preventive and reactive maintenance) in relation to site services, plant/equipment.
2. Carry out testing, inspection & certification of distribution boards and fixed wiring installations.
3. Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
4. Seasonal shift pattern (some weekends/evenings).
5. Carry out repairs and corrective works of internal & external wiring systems.
6. Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs.
7. Maintenance & installation of emergency lighting.
8. Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated.
9. Deliver specialist technical support and services in relation to building plant/equipment.
10. Wiring fault diagnostics.
11. Knowledge of plant room electrical services, including motors, pumps, FCU etc.
12. Be able to follow site plans & schematic drawings.
13. Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
14. Ensure robust application of health, safety and environmental procedures and processes.
15. Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
16. Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
17. Any other duties as and when required.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities:

1. Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline i.e. Electrical)
2. The candidate should be able to write reports/job sheets either manually or electronically.
3. BS#removed#th or 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification.
4. C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or C&G 2394 Initial Verification and C&G 2395 Periodic Inspection and Testing Existing Installations or equivalent.
5. Experience in building services
6. Full clean UK driving licence.
7. Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Mechanical)
