Location: Carlise, UK

Working Hours: 2 days on 2 days off - 12 hour shift patterns (6am - 6pm)

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be working closely with the Engineering Team within the Meal Solutions Cavaghan & Grey division and carry out daily electrical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key part of a team providing a high level of engineering service to the business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Carry out daily electrical maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
  2. Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work.
  3. Work within a fast-paced environment covering all electrical engineering maintenance activities.

About You:

You will have a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3, but we warmly welcome individuals who have recently completed their apprenticeship programs and are eager to take the next step in their careers.

  1. Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer, ideally with Food or FMCG manufacturing experience, but we're keen to hear from engineers from all industries looking for a new challenge.
  2. Prior experience or working in a planned/reactive maintenance role.
  3. Proactive approach to engineering with experience of root cause analysis to resolve recurring problems.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work closely with colleagues at all levels across the business.
  5. Team player - keen to learn from others, share knowledge and experience, and support the wider team.
