Job description

Location: Near Llandrindod Wells, Powys
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 3-week rotating shifts (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am)
Pay: £38,513.75 per annum / £18.94 per hour
Holidays: 31 days annual leave
Shifts: Includes 1 Sunday in every 3 due to night rotation – No Saturdays

We’re proud to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business near Llandrindod Wells as they look to welcome an Electrical Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join a dynamic engineering environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across the site
• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime
• Support with installations, upgrades, and small engineering projects
• Maintain and troubleshoot single-phase, three-phase, and control circuits
• Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure operational efficiency
• Support apprentices and less experienced team members when required
• Log and maintain records of all maintenance activity and improvements

About you:

• Qualified in electrical engineering with practical, hands-on experience
• Skilled in diagnostics, fault finding, and working with control systems
• Comfortable working alone and within a small shift team
• Strong problem-solver with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety and preventative maintenance practices
• Ideally, some knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff etc.) and basic IT systems
• 17th or 18th Edition qualifications would be an advantage
