Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services
Birmingham
Permanent Full-Time Hybrid & Agile Working

I'm working with a well-established, forward-thinking building services consultancy that is looking to add a talented Electrical Design Engineer to their Birmingham team. With a strong national presence and a growing international reach, they deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, and zero-carbon developments.

You'll be involved in varied and technically challenging projects from concept to completion, contributing to design work that is both environmentally and socially impactful.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing electrical building services systems across multiple sectors
  • Producing specifications, drawings, and calculations
  • Working collaboratively across disciplines and attending client/project meetings
  • Supporting low and zero carbon design strategies
  • Using software such as Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux
  • Keeping up with industry developments and CPD

What we're looking for:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regs, and ideally HTMs
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
