Role: Electrical Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Competitive + Company Bonus & Benefits (Undisclosed at client request. Happy to disclose when we speak)

Hours: Mon-Fri, 38.75 hours/week

Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Birmingham site during a period of significant growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to all safety rules and requirements at all times.
2. Perform routine daily preventative maintenance checks.
3. Collaborate with Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians, and Operators, reporting findings to your Departmental Team Leader.
4. Take responsibility for understanding the operation and maintenance requirements of specific areas, including safe systems of work.
5. Ensure all tasks are supported by relevant documentation such as work orders and risk assessments.
6. Carry out both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks promptly and safely.
7. Act as a communication point during maintenance activities for relevant teams.
8. Participate in projects aimed at equipment improvement, extension, or modification to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Candidate Requirements:

1. HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering (Essential)
2. Experience in heavy industry and understanding of 3-phase control systems
3. Knowledge of PLC fault-finding
4. Understanding of Isolation Procedures
5. Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical systems
6. Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques
7. Attention to detail with problem analysis and solution implementation skills
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
9. Ability to self-organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines
