Electrical / Electronic Engineer

Job Description:

You will be an analytical person with an understanding of technical engineering projects and electrical/electronic applications. The role requires being highly self-motivated and experienced in a wide range of tasks including feasibility analysis, design, and testing.

Education:
  • Minimum HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical standards (UK, EU, US, etc.)
Skills:
  • Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF certified environments
  • Understanding and supporting DFMEA, PFMEA activities
  • Conducting feasibility studies for new technical innovations
  • High-level discussions with customers and suppliers
  • Knowledge of CANbus and similar communication standards/protocols
  • Good knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
  • Understanding of connector technology and protection against atmospheric extremes
  • Ability to create plans and schematics using CAD software
  • Testing electrical/electronic control and power systems and analyzing data
  • Documenting technical findings in reports and presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably SolidWorks
Experience:
  • Sourcing electrical components, ECUs, engine control systems
  • Experience with DC/DC converters, alternators, generators, controllers, and battery charging
  • Experience in hybrid systems technology is advantageous
  • BOM creation
Communication Skills:

Self-motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of personal interaction, briefings, presentations, and written correspondence.

Job-related Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills, data-driven, with the ability to identify root causes and implement critical improvements.
