Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Design, develop, and evaluate components and assemblies from concept to mass production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and liaising with R&D teams.
- Critically evaluate design proposals, participate in peer reviews, develop test procedures, and address EMC & Signal Integrity issues.
- Collaborate with teams, customers, and suppliers to deliver products into production, providing technical support and communication.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety directives and standards.
- Investigate, identify, and implement improvements to resolve technical issues.
- Manage the delivery of electrical/electronic systems throughout trial and production stages, controlling costs, quality, risks, and progress.
- Address historic problems to prevent recurrence in future designs.
- Support development schedules and handle queries related to components and assembly.
- Assist the Project Leader with cost management and project planning for electrical/electronic aspects.
- Contribute to project updates, meetings, and strategic discussions.
- Research new technologies to enhance R&D systems and processes.
- Mentor junior team members in technical aspects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with electrical and EMC testing, fault finding, PCB design (preferably Zuken CR0), and circuit simulation.
- Design for Manufacturing experience, including working with subcontractors.
- Knowledge of EMC/ESD design, project management, soldering, and circuit theory.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and effective communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills, initiative, and physical ability to handle manual tasks.
- Valid driving license, passport, and willingness to travel internationally.
