Job summary

Billy Associates is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer in Winchester (Hybrid) to lead the electrical discipline within a well-established building services consultancy in Hampshire. You will run schemes from feasibility through handover and manage a small team.

The role offers real autonomy, opportunities to win new work, and a path toward partnership. Applicants should hold a relevant degree or HNC/HND, with strong UK consultancy experience and a solid knowledge of BS 7671.

Qualifications

• UK consultancy experience in building services.
• Experience delivering schemes from survey through construction to completion.
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and current regulations.
• Experience leading a small team and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Take first-line responsibility for electrical services on projects.
• Carry out site surveys, feasibility studies and reports.
• Produce tender-ready schemes, specifications and costings.
• Review tender returns and drawings; respond to site queries.
• Witness testing and commissioning and prepare snag lists.
• Assist with interim valuations and final accounts.
• Manage fees and budgets to keep projects profitable.
• Represent the practice with clients and help win new work.
