The role leads a team of around 20 engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with international standards, with potential budgets up to £500k and opportunities for recruitment activity and skill development.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with a degree in technology or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience designing and managing electrical systems for machinery, industrial, rail, or nuclear industries.
• Proven ability to deliver complex engineering projects from requirements to system commissioning.
• Strong governance, health and safety, and compliance knowledge.
• Effective problem-solving and stakeholder management to resolve technical conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of electrical designs for robotic systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure designs meet international standards and compliance.
• Drive improvements in electrical quality processes and standardization.
• Lead a team of electrical designers and project engineers (~20 people).
• Manage project budgets up to £500k and oversee workloads/resource scheduling.
• Support engineers in developing innovative system architectures.
