Electrical Design Engineer – Controls – SolidWorks or AutoCAD – West Midlands – Permanent – £35-50k – flexible working hours, 25 days holiday, lunchtime finish on Fridays

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding Worcestershire based specialist equipment manufacturer. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will need to have experience of designing control panels using Solidworks or AutoCAD.

Electrical Design Engineers or Control Panel Design Engineers applying for the role will need to have at least 18 months-2 years relevant experience.

Key responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer include –

  • Control panel design using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
  • Compliance with customer specifications
  • Adherence to project milestone review and approval process
  • Adherence to project document control and filing procedures

Some of the key tasks for Electrical Design Engineer include –

  • Design calculations/selections
  • Assistance with project planning
  • Liaison with client/stakeholders/Project Managers
  • Collate and check project design information
  • Review information for planned projects
  • Specification of compliant parts and practices
  • Ensure electrical design, free of defects and compliant to customer specification & standards

Core hours are 9.30-3.30pm Monday-Thursday. As long as you’ve worked 38 hours, you’ll finish for the weekend at 1pm on Fridays.

The position is commutable from most of Worcestershire including places such as Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester, Kidderminster, Evesham, Alcester and Stourbridge.
