Job Description

The Electrical System Design and Grid Integration department is seeking a consultant to assist with electrical design development for offshore wind farms at the concept design stage. The role involves proposing initial designs and developing them using risk-based assessment techniques to produce concept designs suitable for bid submission and further detailed design if successful. The consultant will work on multiple projects concurrently.

The consultant will be a key member of the electrical design team, working flexibly as project priorities evolve. They should be comfortable with high levels of uncertainty and capable of working at a senior level with minimal supervision. The main deliverables will include a single line diagram (SLD), a concept design report, an assumption book, and a risk book for each project.

General Responsibilities

• Electrical design for offshore wind farms in the concept design stage
• Use of Powerfactory software and Microsoft Office, provided by the consultancy
• Propose initial designs and develop them using risk-based assessment techniques for bid submission
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Collaborate with the client on task scoping, boundary conditions, design criteria, and objectives before execution
• Participate in daily project activities as part of the project team
• Conduct necessary studies and document findings according to client needs
• Experience with offshore wind projects at the concept design stage is highly valued
