Bimplus in Cardiff is seeking an Electrical Design Building Services Engineer to join our growing team. The role focuses on delivering electrical building services design across education, commercial, healthcare, residential, and public sector projects.

The position offers development opportunities, project responsibility, and a pathway toward Chartered status. You will work within a collaborative environment on both new builds and refurbishments.

Qualifications

• Electrical Building Services Engineering background (degree qualified or equivalent experience).
• Experience within a consultancy or design environment is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Experience with Hevacomp / TAS calculation software.
• Understanding of BIM Level 2 delivery and Part L regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical building services designs from concept through to construction stage.
• Carry out feasibility studies and technical design calculations.
• Prepare detailed specifications, reports, drawings, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to quality assurance.
