Job summary

Sigma Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team in Dewsbury. You will design, develop and implement electrical systems for retail displays, shopfitting and bespoke manufacturing projects.

Working with project managers, production teams and suppliers, you will ensure designs are safe, compliant, cost-effective and delivered to the highest quality standards, helping bring concepts to life.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical design in manufacturing, retail fit-out, shopfitting or related environment.
• Experience producing electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of UK electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with LED lighting systems or low-voltage retail displays is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for retail fixtures, displays and bespoke manufacturing projects.
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with electrical regulations, standards and safety requirements.
• Carry out electrical calculations, specifications and component selection.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
• Support development and testing of prototypes and new product designs.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, commissioning and project delivery.
