Electrical Design Engineer - Water Industry Manchester | Permanent or Contract | Full-time (Office-based, flexibility considered)

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in the water sector?

Our client, a leading design consultancy, is growing their Manchester team and is looking for engineers to support major water and wastewater projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy that is shaping the future of sustainable water infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Designing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Producing technical specifications, single line diagrams, and schematics.
  • Working on LV and HV distribution, MCCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Coordinating with civil, process, and mechanical engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Supporting feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Experience within the UK water industry is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of relevant design standards, codes, and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with design software (Amtech, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong communication and team-working skills.
