Job summary

Edina in Manchester, UK, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the design team on a full-time basis. You will design and develop LV and HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, and DC systems for BESS projects, producing technical documentation and specifications.

You will collaborate with colleagues, clients, DNOs and suppliers, carrying out site visits to support progress and update as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction or engineering background.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD to produce accurate electrical drawings.
• Demonstrable experience with Trimble/Amtech and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LV and HV electrical networks and power systems.
• Develop DC systems for BESS projects and prepare specs for switchboards and transformers.
• Produce electrical designs and technical documentation.
• Undertake cable sizing and develop LV/HV protection schemes.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, DNOs and suppliers; support site visits and as-built updates.
