Job summary

Staffline is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a permanent role in Gloucester. You will design, develop, and implement electrical systems for standard and special purpose machines within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key duties include creating electrical schematics, BOMs, and cabinet layouts while coordinating with mechanical and software teams to meet customer specifications and CE regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in electrical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to design electrical control systems, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with relevant British and European electrical standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of standard and special purpose machines, examples include lead plate feeders and stackers.
• Carry out detailed electrical design to SSOW and customer specifications.
• Electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, BOMs and termination lists.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to meet customer specs.
• Carry out risk assessments for safety regulations and CE compliance.
• Prepare and present electrical designs at design reviews.
• Maintain design files per departmental procedures.
• Provide onsite customer support as required.
