Job Description

A vacancy for an electrical design engineer has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Filton. You will join the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing. You will join a multi-disciplinary team: Test Means Architecture & Integration.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems
  2. Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
  3. Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
  4. Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems

Skill Set

  1. Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
  2. Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
  3. Understanding of Testing principles
  4. Experience with electrical architecture design
  5. Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems
  6. Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
  7. Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
  8. Team spirit and agility
