Job summary

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Burton on Trent to lead electrical design and development for a range of specialist equipment across multiple industry sectors, including heavy engineering and aerospace. You will design control systems, wiring diagrams and safety features, and ensure documentation and manufacturability are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC level; degree preferred.
• Experience using EPLAN or similar design software.
• Strong background in electrical design, control systems and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and development of projects from initial concept to manufacture.
• Design and develop products to meet customer specifications and complete them.
• Prepare designs for manufacture and guide products through to completion.
• Perform specification, component selection, and electrical calculations as required.
• Design and develop enhancements to the existing product range.
• Support technical sales, manufacturing and test departments as needed.
• Produce technical documentation including drawings and bills of materials.
• Ensure products comply with relevant legislation and customer requirements.
