Job summary

Hunter Savage is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering business. You will design bespoke control panels and translate client requirements into manufacturable schematics, working with contractors and internal teams.

The role covers concept to delivery, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an early finish on Fridays. You will produce detailed drawings in Eplan/AutoCAD/SolidWorks Electrical and support testing, fault finding and commissioning on varied

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical, HVAC, BMS or Process Control environments.
• Ability to create accurate schematic drawings for manufacture.
• Proficient in CAD packages such as Eplan, AutoCad or SolidWorks Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke control panels based on client requirements.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics for manufacturing teams.
• Liaise with Mechanical & Electrical Contractors.
• Ensure designs are practical, efficient and manufacturable.

Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels)

We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing engineering business, who are seeking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to work on bespoke engineering solutions, collaborating closely with contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality control panel designs.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in translating customer requirements into practical, manufacturable designs, supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

The Role:

• Design bespoke control panels based on client engineering requirements
• Produce detailed electrical schematics for manufacturing teams
• Liaise regularly with Mechanical & Electrical Contractors
• Ensure designs are practical, efficient and manufacturable
• Support system testing, fault finding and commissioning where required
• Work to project deadlines, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

The Person:

• Experience in Electrical, HVAC, BMS or Process Control environments
• Strong background in electrical design and engineering
• Proficient in CAD packages such as Eplan, AutoCad or SolidWorks Electrical
• Ability to create accurate schematic drawings for manufacture
• Experience in control and instrumentation design is desirable
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
