Your new company
You will be working for a well-established Building Services consultancy, which operates across a diverse portfolio including high-end residential, education, commercial, and heritage sectors. They offer services such as Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainable Design, and BIM. This is an exciting time to join the team as they are expanding, with plans to move into larger offices and open new locations.

Your new role
The main purpose of this role is to design electrical engineering solutions for building services. In this position, you will:

1. Manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
2. Survey and report on electrical systems within buildings
3. Prepare technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software
4. Perform design calculations
5. Design electrical installations in accordance with British Standards
6. Develop design proposals from sketch to detailed design and production stages
7. Prepare tender documentation and reports
8. Show a passion for electrical design engineering and a willingness to learn
9. Support senior staff in managing client and design team relationships

You may be required to undertake other duties as necessary to achieve objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have electrical design experience and:

• Hold HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or a related field
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux
• Experience contributing to design team meetings
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel
