Your new company

You will be working for a well-established Building Services consultancy, which works in an expansive portfolio of sectors including high-end residential, education, commercial, and heritage. They provide services such as Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainable Design, and BIM. This is an exciting time to join the team, as they have strong relationships and are expanding into larger and new offices in different locations.

Your new role

The main purpose of this role is the design of electrical engineering for building services. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing multiple projects and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.
2. Surveying and reporting on electrical systems in buildings.
3. Preparing technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software.
4. Undertaking design calculations.
5. Designing electrical installations to meet British Standards.
6. Developing design proposals from sketch to detailed design and production stages.
7. Preparing tender documentation and reports.
8. Demonstrating passion for electrical design engineering and a willingness to learn.
9. Supporting senior staff in managing client and design team relationships.

You may be required to undertake other duties as necessary to achieve objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have electrical design experience and:

• Hold an HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or a related subject.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux.
• Experience contributing to design team meetings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
