The Boeing Design-Build Team is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer based in Berkeley, MO. The role involves supporting Boeing test requirements by designing electrical interfaces, connections, and providing fabrication and installation support for test articles in lab environments.

The responsibilities include developing electrical connections between test articles and aircraft subsystems, control hardware, power supplies, facility controls, infrastructure, and electrical hardware like terminal blocks and break-out boxes. Support for instrumentation and data system connections, as well as during fabrication and testing, is also required.

This position primarily supports environmental lab testing for Boeing Defense & Space programs, including vibrational, acoustic, airflow, fuel flow, high temperature, and environmental control tests. Support to other testing disciplines may be needed.

Join Boeing St. Louis to work on advanced military aircraft and weapons programs such as T7, F-15, F-18, MQ-25, JDAM, and SDB, among others. We are hiring both Associate and Experienced level Electrical Design Engineers.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical design criteria based on customer test objectives
  • Design and document electrical systems, components, and interfaces
  • Outline electrical wiring for test articles and subassemblies
  • Support lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition
  • Select electrical hardware including cables, connectors, and terminal blocks
  • Assist lab test personnel during installation and connection
  • Support electrical hardware inspection, check-out, and testing

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the specified locations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical or electrical system design
  • Experience creating electrical schematics with CAD tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance within the past 24 months
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years in electrical system design
  • 1+ years in test and evaluation
  • Experience with power, signal, and instrumentation hardware used in testing
  • Experience with test hardware control and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with test software platforms like NI LabVIEW
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MentorGraphics, or Microsoft Visio
