Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a 12-month contract in Prestwick. This role involves supporting the Atmospheric Research Aircraft Mid-Life Upgrade Project, developing aircraft modifications, and liaising with design organizations. Candidates should have extensive experience in electrical design and ideally in the Defence sector. Hybrid working is available with a pay rate of £38.21 per hour (UMB) or £28.44 (PAYE).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical design standards and techniques.
• Experience as an Electrical Designer in the Defence sector.
• BAE146 / AVRO RJ experience is beneficial.

• Support to the Atmospheric Research Aircraft (ARA) Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) Project
• Develop a range of aircraft modifications to facilitate ARA MLU
• Liaise with third-party design organisations
• Compile, check, and approve engineering drawings
• Potential to take on the responsibility of a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) role, subject to CVE approval by Management

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical design standards and techniques
• Experience as an Electrical Designer in the Defence sector
