Job summary

Holt Engineering in Poole is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver electrical design activity across complex engineered products and projects. You will produce concept and detailed designs and support design control, verification, manufacture and technical documentation.

The role requires around 5 years of electrical/electronic design experience, and an engineering degree or equivalent. Working knowledge of CAD software and ability to collaborate across engineering teams is essential.

The Electrical Design Engineer role

As Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering electrical design work in line with customer requirements, internal procedures and relevant standards. The role will involve supporting both new product and project activity, making sure design outputs are accurate, cost‑conscious, manufacturable and delivered on time.

The Electrical Design Engineer will also provide technical support to other departments, contribute to process improvements and help maintain professional design standards across the engineering function.

• Engineering Degree, HNC or HND in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience

• Able to produce accurate design information and technical documentation
• Understanding of design control, product development and manufacturing requirements
• Confident working to customer requirements, internal procedures and relevant standards
