Electrical Design Engineer - Nottingham

Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of their Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and intricate schematics, utilizing current software tools. These will be delivered to meet relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and standards related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Remuneration

• Salary: £40k - £55k (Guide only - DOE)

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
• Professional registration with CIBSE and/or IET preferred
• Proficiency in REVIT
• Experience in a similar Electrical Design Engineer role within a consultancy in the built environment

Overview

• Ensure all work complies with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines
• Review and agree on project changes impacting program, costs, or timescales with Project Managers and clients
• Manage projects effectively to coordinate technical elements and meet targets
• Provide expertise in electrical building services design, understanding legislation and industry best practices
• Utilize effective procurement methods to ensure project delivery and awareness of services provided by Arc
• Carry out designs using AutoCAD, Revit, Stabicad, and relevant tools
• Offer professional and technical advice to internal and external clients, maintaining quality standards
