The Construction Consultancy Services (CCS) team provides client-side construction consultancy services across various professional disciplines to deliver capital build projects and programmes on behalf of Durham County Council.
The team operates a blended approach with internal and external design teams and construction partners selected to suit each project's needs, with a designated project lead facilitating the process to achieve goals and success criteria in line with the RIBA stages of a project lifecycle.
The overall objective is to support the Council in improving the built environment to benefit the residents of County Durham.
The team has a diverse portfolio of projects, including the construction of a major strategic employment site, highway junction improvements, new build and refurbishment projects, and public realm improvements.
The team now requires an Electrical Design Engineer to assist with an expanding capital programme.
In the role of Electrical Design Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for conducting electrical design for a wide range of building projects, acting as project lead, fulfilling project management, contract administration, and principal designer duties as needed.
