Job Description:

The Redline group has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer based in Loughborough. The role involves leading the design and documentation of electrical wiring harnesses and other electrical work packages, using Solidworks Electrical to create schematics, 3D models, and manufacturing documents for wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Generating electrical drawings and panel layouts with supporting electrical documentation (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts)
  • Updating electrical drawings throughout the project lifecycle and sharing with relevant departments
  • Maintaining a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure hardware consistency across projects
Key skills required:
  • Electrical Engineering Qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of Solidworks Electrical or similar CAD software
  • Experience with schematic capture and harness design
