Location: Stamford

My client is a world–renowned manufacturer of Dynamometers and Load Banks, serving global clients across power generation, OEM, utilities, and critical service sectors. With a purpose–built factory and ISO9001–certified systems, they deliver exceptional quality and service.

We re currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their New Product Development (NPD) team. This is a hands–on, strategic role for an experienced engineer who thrives in innovation and product delivery from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design of new and enhanced products using CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks Electrical).
• Concept creation using market and customer requirements data. Getting involved in voice of customer (VOC) exercises as and when required.
• Define, lead and support product FMEA s, validation and testing programs as required.
• Creation of engineering technical specifications and BOM s.
• Creation of test reports and technical documents to support future customer product use.
• Support system integration ensuring DFM principles and safety compliance (CE, UL, CSA).
• Identify and apply emerging technologies to enhance product performance and value.

About You:

• Degree–qualified in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BEng) with 5+ years in a product development role.
• Strong understanding of HV, MV, and LV electrical systems, ideally within load banks, gensets, transformers, or grid–connected systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks Electrical and Microsoft 365.
• Strong problem–solver with effective communication and decision–making skills.
• Professional Engineering (PE) status is a plus.
