Overview

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an exciting role on offer to join a leading engineering consultancy as an Electrical Design Engineer, on a contract basis, outside IR35. Within this role, you will be required to work from our client's office in Glasgow, on a hybrid basis, in which you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of data centre projects, as a part of a skilled team of engineers.

Competitive hourly rate of 45 (depending on experience).

Hybrid working arrangement (will consider remote to candidates further afield).

Key Responsibilities
  • Create electrical design drawings and specifications for Data Centre projects, using software such as Revit, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Amtech.
  • Supply detailed reports, calculations, and project documents that all meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, mechanical engineers, and architects.
  • Ensure designs comply with all codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Contribute to sustainable and low-energy solutions through innovative design approaches.
  • Manage project deadlines, budgets, and deliverables and support junior team members to expand overall knowledge.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered, or working towards chartered, status is ideal.
  • Proven experience in electrical design, with a solid understanding of British Standards, building regulations, and CIBSE guidelines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software tools.
  • Familiar with relevant electrical regulations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
