Overview

Electrical Design Engineer
Gloucestershire area
Up to 55,000 per annum

We're looking for a talented Design Engineer with strong E–Plan experience and ideally some exposure to robotics to join our growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in modernising and improving processes, introducing innovative solutions, and driving engineering design projects that make a real difference.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting–edge projects within state–of–the–art facilities that offer a collaborative, forward–thinking, and pleasant working environment. While flexible home working is available, travel will be required to client sites–primarily around Gloucestershire and Leicester.

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the modernisation and optimisation of engineering processes.
  • Identify opportunities to expand in–house manufacturing capabilities.
  • Deliver high–quality engineering design projects and support their implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to improve the reliability of automated systems.
  • Champion new processes that drive innovation, enhance in–house expertise, and support team development.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in detailed design and product development within automated environments.
  • Strong engineering foundation with intuitive problem–solving skills.
  • Proficiency in E–Plan and CAD/CAM design tools such as Autodesk.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve quality benchmarks in product development.
  • Track record of implementing improvements and initiatives in challenging environments.
  • Robotics experience is highly desirable.
