Are you ready to step into a role that offers real technical influence, cross–sector exposure, and a path to professional growth? We're expanding our highly regarded, multi–disciplinary design team and looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join us. Whether you're working across major infrastructure, complex buildings, or rail and bridge projects–you'll be right at the heart of the UK's most exciting engineering developments.

This is more than just another design role. It's your opportunity to lead from the front, collaborate with respected engineers across disciplines, and shape projects from concept to completion.

Why Join Us?

You'll be part of a passionate, close–knit team with the backing of a much larger engineering group–offering both the agility of a specialist consultancy and the stability and reach of a global player.

We offer a working culture where engineers thrive:

  • Clear progression paths and mentoring for Chartership or technical leadership
  • The chance to work across a wide variety of sectors–beyond typical building services
  • An open, inclusive environment where your input is valued and encouraged
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and deliver end–to–end electrical design for a wide range of projects
  • Work in close coordination with structural, civil, and geotechnical teams
  • Prepare, review, and manage complete design documentation: drawings, specs, and technical reports
  • Ensure all designs meet UK regulations (including CDM, BS/EN standards)
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge–sharing and development
  • Attend project meetings, undertake site visits and support bid/tender processes
What We're Looking For:
  • Solid experience in electrical design for infrastructure, buildings, rail, or construction
  • Strong grasp of systems such as:
    • LV/HV distribution
    • Lighting (internal, external, emergency)
    • Power systems and load assessments
    • Standby generation and UPS
    • Earthing and bonding
  • Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Amtech, Hevacomp, Dialux, or similar
  • Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field
  • Working knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Ideally progressing toward IEng/CEng (IET, CIBSE) or keen to do so
What's in It for You?
  • Flexible working and hybrid set–up – autonomy to work your way
  • 25+ days holiday + bank holidays – plus your birthday off every year
  • Private medical insurance – your health matters
  • Annual bonus scheme – be rewarded for your impact
  • Pension contribution and cycle to work scheme
  • Casual, friendly office culture – no stiff suits or red tape
