Job summary

Vantage Consulting Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (EICA) in Derby to join a multidisciplinary team delivering compliant electrical solutions for water and wastewater projects. The role focuses on designing, installing, and validating electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on controls and instrumentation.

You will read schematics and layouts, work with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical engineering, preferably water/wastewater sector.
• Proficient in electrical system design, controls, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and layouts.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, IEEE standards.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willing to travel for site assessments and project work.

Requirements

• Experienced EICA
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the water and wastewater sectors is advantageous.

• Ability to create and interpret detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings.
