Job summary

Regional Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market-leading heavy plant machinery company in Leicester. The role involves designing, developing and supporting electrical and control systems for heavy plant equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering and proven experience with PLCs, motor control, and industrial automation.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic engineering (essential).
• Experience in industrial electrical systems and controls (essential).

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for asphalt plants, crushing and screening systems and concrete batching plants.
• Develop control panels, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Program and configure PLC and automation systems.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues on site and remotely.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations.

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a market leading heavy plant machinery company based in Leicester. Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical/ Electronic engineering
• Experience in industrial electrical systems and controls

Knowledge of:

• PLCs (Siemens, Allen–Bradley
• Motor control systems and drives
• Industrial automation and instrumentation
• Ability to read and produce electrical schematics

Desirable:

• Experience in heavy plant, quarrying or process industries
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring
• Experience with international commissioning or site work

Requirements
