Electrical Design Engineer
What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the role involves:

  • Developing and implementing cost-effective control solutions that meet customer needs, legislation, and stay within budget.
  • Staying updated on evolving technologies and implementing proven solutions for savings.
  • Detailing design, specifications, FAT testing of control solutions.
  • Supporting sales in developing robust, cost-effective controls solutions.
  • Proactively value engineering to find alternative materials and scope changes while ensuring standards and compliance.
  • Attending design reviews and submitting designs for approval.
  • On-site responsibility for successful hardware commissioning and SAT testing.
  • Working within Lintott Control Systems procedures.
  • Liaising with departments on order receipt and handover meetings.
  • Maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships for future reference.
  • Assisting in internal process development and waste reduction.
  • Supporting engineering team during absences.
  • Performing other duties as agreed with management.
About You:
  • + years relevant experience in electrical hardware design, including MCC, Switchgear, Control Panels, LV Distribution.
  • Experience in Systems Integration, working with Software Engineers on Functional Design Specifications.
  • Knowledge of specification, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of BS EN standards.
  • Qualified to the 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Proficient in producing electrical schematics, general arrangements, BOM.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
