Overview

Electrical Design Engineer – Process/Water/Engineering sector

Location: Chester-Le-Street / Durham / Sunderland / Gateshead

Employment type: Permanent

Remuneration: Salary £37.5k - £40k PA DOE + Package

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (+ overtime @ standard rate)

Responsibilities

• Design & specify electrical schematics
• Produce layouts and wiring diagrams
• Design & specify LV assemblies – MCCs, switchboards & control panels
• Conduct power cable & cable schedule calculations
• Ensure design accuracy to electrical standards
• Produce & review detailed documents including single line diagrams & technical specifications
• Participate in testing & troubleshoot design issues

Person Specification (Qualifications)

• Minimum HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Electrical CAD experience – AutoCAD Electrical or similar
• Experience designing MCC control panels and LV switchboards
• Industrial automation and PLC understanding is advantageous
• Flexible to support as an Electrical Engineer across the project lifecycle
