Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a 6-month contract based in Filton. You will develop architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems, and work on electrical schematics and instrumentation specifications. Ideal candidates will have experience with AutoCAD, KiCAD, and a solid understanding of electrical design principles. This role offers a chance to grow within a market-leading company.

As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems
• Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
• Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
• Produce requirements and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems
• Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
• Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
• Understanding of Testing principles
• Experience with electrical architecture design
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems
• Knowledge of avionic data busses (A, CAN, AFDX)
• Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
