Qualifications

• Experience as Electrical Design Engineer in-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D is necessary.
• Apprentice trained and/or a formal Electrical Engineering qualification essential.
• Experience in project environments and working with automated production machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical wiring diagrams for control systems alongside Automation Technicians.
• Assist in transferring drawings from AutoCAD to EPLAN.
• Maintain a database to ensure consistency in functional hardware.

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with an In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D ? If so, our client based in Basildon will be keen to hear about you. The company designs and manufactures production line equipment and the Electrical Design Engineer will work in a small team to produce electrical drawings and panel layouts.

Duties:

• The Electrical Design Engineer will work alongside Automation Technicians to produce electrical wiring diagrams for electrical control systems.
• Assist in the transfer of drawings from AutoCAD to EPLAN
• Work with the rest of the Automation Department to agree on methods of working and drawing standards
• Generate electrical drawings and panel Layouts
• Provide supporting electrical documentation such as BoM's, Component Lists and Cable Schedules
• Ensure all electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the lifecycle of the project and shared with all relevant departments
• Maintain a database to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project

Requirements:

• Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer with an In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D is a necessity
• Apprentice trained and/or a formal Electrical Engineering Qualification is essential
• A systematic approach to work with great attention to detail is required
• An EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) qualification is preferable
• Experience of working with automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment
• Must be flexible with a willingness to lean to expand scope of knowledge
• Experience gained working within a project environment in cross-functional project teams
